Roland XP-50 midi set up problems-need super urgent help please!!!!

Have a roland xp-50 and midiman 2x2 usb,have connected cables correctly,seem to have done everything but reason and cubase dont get triggered when I play from keyboard,however they both(reason and cubase) recognise the midiman 2x2,please help me set up my midi out ,Im sure there is someone who can help me get thru this,please please please help me soon
