New at MIDI and need some assitance

My daughter is taking Piano lessons and we purchased a Casio LK60 keyboard. My computer has a MIDI interface and so does the keyboard. I am not familiar with MIDI so can I hook these up so we can capture her music on the computer? If so what software do I use to capture the music that she is playing?

Sorry I have tried looking through the manual, but no help so if someone could help me I would appreciate it.
