Tuning a keyboard so it's NOT tempered tuned?

Hi,

Is it possible to retune the keyboard/synthesizer so that it's not tempered?

I'm a beginning music student and just learned that most pianos and guitars are temper-tuned (so that there would be exactly 12 notes in an octave, although normally we can't distinguish the slight adjustments).

Since electronic synths are so easy to modify, would it be possible to tune one so that it's no longer tempered, but follows the natural tuning (which could have something 40+ keys in the octave, or something like that)?

This has been intriguing for me, so I hope the tuning is something easy to do.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.
