I had the exact same problem; it's a Windows XP problem. As one of the first users of the OS (about a year ago) I was frustrated and unable to get help. 2 weeks ago, someone read one of my old posts who was having the same problem. If it seems a little intimidating, don't worry; it works! I have had no problems since. Good luck.
