Sonar2 Midi Problem?

I have a AMT8 connected to Sonar2......
The Mother Keyboard (midi out) goes straight into midi in on
AMT8---The outputs from AMT8 goes into various Modules..
The problem im having is once ive recorded midi and then play it back whilst trying to play ontop of the sequence EG: on the same midi channel ...the notes that i play live cut out(does anyone have any idea what the cause is?..........Thanks in advance Steve
