I'm not sure for your computer system or motherboard. But if you have sound onboard, ie: sound chip on the motherboard, then you have to enable it through your bios.
If you search through your bios you will find some setting related to MIDI, this is where you have to enable the MIDI device (ie:your gameport) and set its port setting to 330.
Then after you install your sound drivers and if the support midi and then it should all be detected.
