You need to understand what midi is- it is a stream of note values without sounds attached.
When you play the triton the notes are sent to your sound blaster without any sounds attached.
The sound blaster then assigns sounds from its midi wav table. You should be able to change
the sounds that are triggered by changing the GENERAL MIDI program number setting on the triton.
General Midi settings are the standard program numbers assigned to basic sounds in your
wav table. Your triton's effects will never be availble inside Sonar. If you want to record the
exact sounds of the triton, trigger the triton and record its audio output as an audio input in sonar.
As for your sound cards crappy sounds - Soundblaster is known for gaming. Their midi wav tables suck.
take a look at Roland's VSC mp1 in our store (http://www.midi-store.com). This program can provide you with a large
pallete of good midi sounds to replace the crappy ones on your sound blaster.
