motif - midisport - usb - no midi into cubasis

I have Windows XP running Cubasis VST. I connected a Roland RD-700 and Yamaha Motif 7 via midi in to a Midisport 2x2. Then out from the Midisport USB to the computer.
I don't see my keyboards as midi in devices. At least I don't recognize them as midi in. I don't even see where in Cubasis I select the input, just the output.
This is my first shot at sequencing software although I'm pretty pc literate.
Any tips anybody?
