Audigy / Cubase Help

I have an Audigy Platinum Ex and i have my Roland A-37 Plugged into the box. The controller seems to work fine, excfept theres a reasonably big latency problem when using Finale. Any way you guys know of to fix this? I know different drivers are used, but i don't know the first thing about this. Also, i cant get any monitoring when im in Cubase. There is a signal going in, and the meter detects a signal, btu i can't hear it. Can anyone shed some light on how I might be able to audition the sounds?
