splitting keyboard works but not hearing it in XGWorks

I did as the manual states (not the greatest manual I've looked through) and with headphones on I can hear the two diffent settings I set up slit at C3 as the manual states but when I load up XGWorks I don't hear the two different settings on the keyboard, ie organ up to C3 and strings C3 and beyond. What is wrong with this picture?
