Control Retro with Oxygen8 knobs

I just got an Oxygen8 midi keyboard, and I want to use the eight control knobs on it to control Retro, I want to set them up to control things like cutoff, resonance, LFO's etc.... I'm a novice with MIDI and I'm having problems in setting it up. Could anyone out there help me, please, I'm getting a bump on my head from racking my brain.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
