SP-MIDI (Scalable Polyphony MIDI)- is this a fudge, or what?

Otherwise known as programmed note stealing, the composer/sequence artist steals notes beforehand, by inserting a 'MIP' bar - instead of the replay device doing the job. Whichever way you look at it - it's less music than the author intended. Aint it?
