You have to switch I/O to MIDI both in Global Edit mode, and with the switch on the back of the keyboard.
Try to use OUT1 instead of Normal mode.
Turn GM mode off and on to reset it.
Install the Cakewalk Instrument definitions for the QS.
: I simply CANNOT figure out what's wrong with my connection between my QS8.1 and Cakewalk PA9.
: The QS is in GM mode,
: Keyboard mode to 'normal',
: I/O to 'MIDI',
: The MIDI cables are connected correctly to the Soundblaster Live! Drive which is serving as my MIDI thru.
: Cakewalk's Device Controls have both the SB Midi Out and In selected and at the top of their respective lists.
: The THRU option in Cakewalk is turned off.
: I can't think of any other reasons why it's not working. Does ANYONE have any suggestions?
