just got it from you last week!!! thanks.
last owner says the keyboard and sounds are fine, but the bank and patch # buttons must be pressed several time to mak a change. sounds like dirty contacts to me. if it turns out to much more involved than that, i'll be yelling for help!
lusted over this 'board back in my dim past when they were $2799.
just couldn't pass this one up for $100 !!

back again. jx10 arrived. sounds great, but all the buttons are very intermittant.... must keep pressing over and over, then they work (once)
can anybody give me a heads-up as to what i'll find whren i open it up?
are the switch contacts rubber, or metal? sealed or open?
thanks

back.
jx-10 buttons used sealed tactile switches. sacreficed one (autopsy?) abd the snap-disk was black with some kind of corrosion. found what i think will be drop-in replacements from Mouser electronics (texas). will post more when i dig into it. |

all 52 button switches replaced. cleaned out 20 yeaes of dust, dried beer(?), a penny and half a dozen loose screws. cleaned the boards, "tweek"ed the connectors, fixed the broken aftertouch cable. dismantled the keys and soaked them in soap and water, cleaned all key contacts. Now it is 85% assembled. just about time for what my dad used to call the "smoke test". (he was a tv and radio repairman during the 40's, 50's and 60's.)
wish me luck
